Maui Food Bank, Inc.
Maui Food Bank is a conduit for donated food and other essential items for the purpose of disaster relief. The supplies are distributed through a variety of relief organizations. Efforts include collecting, warehousing and distributing products to relief organizations throughout Maui County. With every $1 donated, the Maui Food Bank can provide 4 meals to people in need. Maui Food Bank has boots on the ground, and is working diligently to compile and distribute food and other essential items to community members in need.
Maui United Way, Inc.
Maui United Way is responding to immediate needs via daily grant approvals to existing grassroots organizations that are local and focused on basic needs. All of their work is guided by a deep desire to increase equity and decrease long-standing disparities for communities, including the AAPI populations, especially Native Hawaiian and Pacific Islander populations. And 100% of the donations to Maui United Way stay in Hawaii.
Hawaii Community Foundation
Hawaii Community Foundation is partnering with state and county leaders, non-profit organizations, and community members to understand the evolving priorities. Funding will support immediate needs, such as, shelter, food, financial assistance, and other services identified by the aforementioned partners who are on the ground in Maui. These funds are providing financial resources that are being deployed quickly, with a focus on rapid response and recovery for the devastating wildfires on Maui.
